World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses such as damage from PvE and crit chance.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is in %, the weapon will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item level rises.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra effect while they're in use. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. upgrade item must be upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade may have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is used (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.
The player can get a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will drop in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much it will improve following a subsequent reset.
The process of upgrading an item could be costly, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also give the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade components which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.
In the final game, you will often find that the best way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes more quickly.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Leveling
The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires a different number of components and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is leveled up.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player upgrades an item it will be replaced by a new item. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This can be a downside in that the item could be more expensive even if you do not require it.
Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to be able to do this. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will have a level 1 base and a different set of bonuses. This can be beneficial, but shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.
Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times to increase their value, allows the player to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by 10 points. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.
Requirements

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied before any attack damage increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For instance, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade.
